About
The J-Testr Remote IO module enables IO test resources to be placed very close to the UUT saving significant cabling, design time and cost, whilst increasing system reliability. When used with the J-Testr Remote IO peripheral card it can be used to provide up to 512 IOs.
As the IOs are intending for test usage all IOs are protected and come with 5V tolerance as standard. A global output enable line is also provided to make all lines high impedance during power up and down of UUTs. The global output enable line can be controlled by J-Testr ‘User IO’ resources to make the Remote IO module 100% J-Safe compatible.
VccIO power is available at the module’s connector and is adjustable from 1.4V to 3.4V using a single external resistor. VccIO defaults to 3.4V when no resistor is fitted.
Two speed grades give the flexibly for the Remote IO module to be used with any JTAG system, as well as with the Remote IO peripheral card. The short JTAG chain length also means very fast refresh rates can be achieved even with lower clock speeds thus reducing the need for high signal integrity of the JTAG communication signals.
The compact and easy to mount module measures only 35mm x 51mm, minimising the space required on the J-Testr interposer card. The connector pin-out is designed to easily route into the Remote IO peripheral card with minimal effort and maximum efficiency.
