J-Testr Timer Breakout Card
AboutThe Timer Breakout card has each of its two banks equally split into IN and OUT groups with each group having a BNC connection associated with it. This allows for easy connection to high-speed signal generators and oscilloscopes for evaluation purposes.
The IN BNC connections each have 50-ohm termination and are attached to the lower 8 bits of the associated bank. The Timer Card I/O line to be tested can be selected with a 0603 SMT low value resistor, by default this is connected to bit 0. The OUT BNC connections are sourced from the upper 8 bits of the associated bank. The Timer Card I/O line to be tested can be selected with a 0603 SMT low value resistor, by default this is connected to bit 8. The OUT connection can also be used for inputs, however without any 50-Ohm termination. Each bank's VCC supply can be measured at clearly identified 1mm diameter test-point holes. The Timer Breakout card UserIO (GPIO) lines are taken to eight clearly marked 1mm diameter test-point holes. The card also contains 4 extra common grounding points. |
