Connection Card Information
A Connection Card is used in a fixture based test system when using double ended 'Wireless' test probes as part of the 'EZ-Wired' concept.
The Connection Card, which is sometimes referred to as a 'Pin Connection Board', is mounted underneath the fixture probe plate and is used to connect between the ‘wireless' probe receptacles and standard low-cost ribbon cabling. A Connection Card can also contain custom electronics, and/or J-Testr Modules, to add testing functions, such as multiplexing, local to the UUT.
Using a Connection Card, as part of the 'EZ-Wired' concept, has many advantages over traditional wire-wrap wiring, the most prominent of which are the improvements in signal integrity and mechanical robustness.
Eiger Design GmbH can provide a full turnkey connection solution (including a Connection Card), or just a Connection Card, or the customer can easily design all items for themselves with the aid of example DXF files and/or 3D STEP files provided by Eiger Design..
