The J-Testr+ GTI ribbon cable kits provide four ribbon cables that are suitable for either wiring between the J-Testr+ GTI Pylon (UUT side) and a Connection Card (Pylon) or cabling from the Connection Card to the integrated J-Testr Interposer (Direct Wiring).

Pylon Wiring information
For Pylon wiring the length required depends on how the Connection Card is designed and, more specifically, the placement of the 40 way ribbon connectors. A simple estimate is to add 20mm to the distance between the rear edge of the Connection Card to the starting edge of the ribbon cable connector as below.
Extra cable length is easily lost with looping, however, for cable losses and signal integrity, shorter cable lengths are better.

Direct Wiring information
With Direct wiring the length is much less sensitive to the position of the 40 way ribbon connectors on the Connection Card. Under most applications the length of 250mm is adequate, however if the ribbon cable connectors are more toward the front of the connection card a longer cable will be required.
